The opening presentation at the start of the workshop serves several important purposes. It "warms up the room" and encourages participants to interact. It provides an overview of the material and the products involved. It also sets clear expectations for attendees regarding how they will proceed, as well as the pace and timeline of the workshop. Most importantly, you will share the enrollment key that attendees will need to access the specific lab.

Cisco employees and Cisco partners are eligible to serve as a proctor for a specific workshop after completing the qualifications for that workshop. A workshop proctor can both request and conduct workshops!
To become a proctor, you must qualify for the workshop you want to lead.

Yes, you can have as many as you need. It is recommended that you have one proctor per 25 students. When conducting a hands-on course, it can be difficult to effectively address all of your students' needs when you have more than 25 students. There are obviously exceptions. To add additional proctors to your course, they will need to register for the event. Make sure you calculate your capacity with extra proctors in mind.

Events no longer disappear from the UI. We used to hide past events, but based on requests, we have turned that feature off. For example, this FAQ was updated on December 1st, 2025, and this is all the events from November 2025.
